America has always celebrated the entrepreneurial spirit. But it takes more than just the allure of being an entrepreneur for someone to be successful in that role. Among other things, it requires a characteristic mindset.

While dozens of considerations go into the entrepreneurial mindset, in this podcast I comment on five of them. And I illustrate them with stories from my own entrepreneurial experience and the experience of friends and clients.

With each of these stories I lay the allure of entrepreneurialism alongside of the sometimes unpleasant realities which come with it. My purpose is not to discourage would-be entrepreneurs. Instead, my aim is to help them make a more informed decision if they choose to become one.
